Meet The Team

Professor David Warwick is a prominent Consultant Hand Surgeon and an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the University of Southampton. He is a leading expert in hand and wrist surgery, with an international reputation, and is known particularly for his work on Dupuytren's disease

Mr. David Hargreaves is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Surgeon. He is renowned for his exclusive focus on upper limb conditions and has an international reputation for managing complex problems, particularly those related to instability and sports injuries.

Miss Eleni Balabanidou is a Consultant in Hand and Wrist Trauma and Orthopaedics at University Hospital Southampton, where she also serves as the department's first female Clinical Lead.

Mr George Cox is a Consultant orthopaedic upper limb and trauma surgeon. He specializes in treating conditions of the shoulder, elbow, and hand using both arthroscopic and open surgical techniques​

Mr David Clarke is a consultant Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in upper limb surgery

Katie O'Donnell is an Advanced Occupational Therapist and an Accredited Hand Therapist at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. She is a clinical lead for paediatric hand therapy, with a special interest in adult trauma, rehabilitation, and rheumatology

Paulina Psiuch is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist who specializes in Hand Therapy, currently working at University Hospital Southampton (UHS) as an Advanced Specialist in Hand Therapy and privately at the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre.

Mr. Sherif Fetouh is an upper limb specialist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and an honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Southampton. He completed his Orthopedics training in Egypt followed by subspecialty fellowships in nerve and reconstructive microsurgery, and paediatric upper limb disorders. He has been based at University Hospital Southampton since 2019.

Simi is a British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT)–accredited Hand Therapist with over 20 years’ experience delivering specialist hand therapy services across acute trusts, primary care, and private healthcare settings. She has an extensive experience treating adults and children with a wide range of hand and wrist trauma and acquired conditions and is currently working in an Advanced Clinical Practice role at Salisbury District Hospital. She has been involved in organising the Southampton Hand Course since 2017.

Mr David Hargreaves since April 2004.

I have been helping to organise the Southampton Hand Course for the past 16 years and really enjoy meeting the people who attend.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two children and four grandchildren and love reading.
